How do I create a pitch?

You will spend the bulk of your time creating the text/graphs/visuals for the promotional materials. Fundy provides an easy-to-use template with requirements, tips and examples noted for each section of the pitch. It is common to go through several drafts before the materials are approved by compliance and the investment offer is ready for launch. Don’t worry, your Fundy Account Manager will be with you every step of the way.

Only when the text is completed should you begin to work on your video by providing the draft script to Fundy for compliance review/approval (yes, videos need to be compliant too!). Once the script is approved, have fun and shoot your video!

Next you’ll create your direct outreach and marketing plans (social media posts, events, interviews, articles etc.). Fundy provides marketing professionals to help you get the word out.

We have found that the more work done prior to launching, the more successful the funding round.

How do I creat a pitch video?

Remember that the video should complement your completed pitch. Keep this in mind while you write the script. We suggest you utilise our video script template so that you can map the script to the on screen elements. Keep the video relatively short, no more than 5 minutes. Once your plans are in place, you are ready to shoot your video.

SHOULD I CREATE THE VIDEO FIRST?

We recommend the video be created after the pitch is ready so that the pitch and video complement each other. It is important to share your draft script and your video ideas with your Fundy Account Manager prior to shooting the video because the video needs to meet compliance requirements.  It can be expensive and time-consuming to have to re-shoot or edit a completed video that is not compliant.
